Prés Borház- Wine dinner

Wine lovers can also enjoy a wine dinner at the Prés Borház, located in the heart of Tokaj, a few minutes walk from the hotel. Under a wine bar in a 100-meter cellar system, sommelier and wine knight László Király introduces our guests to the unique wines of Angyal Winery, which is accompanied by a 3-course buffet dinner.

The history of the Prés Borház and Wine Shop

In the summer of 2017, we opened the cellar of a building called the former Vecsey Mansion, which is currently the tasting cellar of the Angel Winery and Vineyard in Tokaj. The cellar system under the building has been awaiting renewal in a terribly neglected state in recent decades, in the 1990s it was still a warehouse for the iron shop, after which it became the cellar of no one.

A significant part of the spectacular cellar system, laid out from small bricks and over 100 meters in total, became reusable in 2017. Many of its branches still lie on the cellar wall, and maybe those parts will be explored one day. It is currently the largest cellar on the main street, renovated for hospitality, which is open to the public and suitable for tasting. The cellar is mainly open to groups, but we also welcome individual guests without prior registration. It is possible to explore the cellar with a glass of wine, but it is better to start with an Angyal wine tasting right away.
